Lovely day today
Very happy, not too sure why, though i was slightly irritated this morning. I realised it doesn't really take much to be happy. Was supposed to play basketball with Irene. Went all the way there to find the court teeming with a legion of sweaty, glistening, half-clad guys racing on the court after a darn ball. What can i say? Use my female authority to order them off the tarmac? Irene and i can take on maybe 2 or 3 alpha males, but definitely not 12 of them, so we trudged under the blazing sun to another court. What can i say? This time the court was swarmed with sweaty, pot bellies, fully-clad middle age men, past their prime, but playing basketball intensively. Like hell we were going to budge this time. So Irene and i just ignored them and started bouncing the ball. Know what this guy came over and say?
"Sorry Miss, we playing full-court."
I asked how long the game would take, and he had the audacity to grin and say the whole day!!!!!! Irene and i blinked at him in shock. This is a public court you know??? How can you just use the whole court for yourself, and the whole day???
I didn't retaliate, just grabbed my stuff and stormed off. I don't know much about Basketball ethics on neighbourhood grounds, but i doubt it is supposed to be this unreasonable. But the man was gracious enough to let us use one end of the court when they were fighting for the ball at the other end of the court. But we declined, would be a hindrance to their game which can be irritating, i would be if someone is not gracious enough to excercise more consideration. So i was fuming, i wanted to work out!
Anyway, Irene and i decided to pop by Coffee Bean to drink coffee and catch up with the times. We met Teresa on the way, and dragged her along. Went Starbucks instead, since Teresa insisted on having only Frappucino Rhumba. We went to watched Saw as well. I tell you the killer in the movie is really psychotic. No normal human being would mastermind and orchestrate such chilling, cold-blooded murders, and viewing them for his pleasure.
Anyway, last movie to catch, The Forgotten. Watching in with Teresa tomorrow. Whao, that is like straight movie seeing since i jet back from the US.
Thurs - The Polar Express (Geraldine)
Sat - Taxi (Yinglin)
Sun - Saw (Teresa & Irene)
Mon - The Forgotten (Teresa)
This is mind-boggling. I need a job, i am determined to find one.
